y name is Melynda Picardo.  I am known to most people as "Mindy".  I have two children, Kyle (19) and Chelsea (15).  I have been teaching the sixth and seventh grade Sunday School class since 1996, and I began leading the youth groups in 1997.

I feel such a passion for bringing Christ's message to teens.  It is a constant learning process, not just for the teens but myself also.  I usually describe Sunday School and youth groups as food for the soul.  It charges me for the week ahead.

It seemed like a natural progression to take on the job of Christian Education Coordinator when the position opened.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Yet my secular job is working as a receptionist and a licensed manicurist in a local hair salon.  I spend my free time with my family, and some of it I spend playing clarinet with Rockport's American Legion Band.
